BOOK NOW TO SECURE YOUR PLACE!

Zebras Saturday club is a unique place where children can come along, have fun, learn new skills but above all be themselves. Siblings are most welcome to attend too.

The team at Zebras have many years experience both personally and professionally working with children who have ranges of disability from those with the most severe and complex needs to others who need a little less support but more time, patience and encouragement.

As a family they have raised 3 children, two of whom are now adults all on the spectrum. Their youngest Son who is now 16 has great input into the charity, making suggestions as to how things should be done, but most importantly giving an insight and understanding as to how children may be feeling. The charity is Co founded by their Mother, who is an autistic women and PDAer.

Over the years things have had to change. The organisation began back in 2015 with its Zebras Children’s Club and has always tried to maintain this social group.

In the early years the charity did not have its own premises and so ran all of its services from external places however in 2020 during the pandemic the founders worked hard to turn an unused space into a community hub which is now a place to hold all of the services the charity offers. One of which is the new Saturday Club at the Hub.

The new hub has been designed with the community in mind and we would love nothing more then parents and children to use the space to be creative, have fun and socialise with each other. There is a small outside space too which can be used to play and even grow vegetables and fruit! The space is yours so why not book a time to come along!

If you are interested in hiring the space to use for FREE then please do fill out the form and one of our team will get back to you to arrange times. Sessions will be held on each Saturday throughout the year, for more information please do get intouch.

There is limited space at the hub so we recommend just a few families at one time. If you would would like to book with another family please do state this on the form, or if you would like to use the space alone then this is perfectly fine.

We fully understand the need for places to be able to go where your children can be themselves without fear of being judged. This is why we have created a small place where children and their parents can relax and have fun, but gain important skills at the same time.

If you would like more information please do get in touch with the team at zebrascharityom@outlook.com

We want your visits to be enjoyable and for you to all feel relaxed and at home, so if you need to bring anything along for your child to help with this then please do so.

PLEASE NOTE ALL BOOKINGS ARE TO BE MADE BY 7PM THURSDAY EVENINGS SO THE DIARY CAN BE CONFIRMED- LATE BOOKINGS WILL NOT BE PICKED UP UNTIL THE FOLLOWING WEEK SO PLEASE ENSURE YOU BOOK IN ADVANCE AND ON TIME FOR THE SESSION YOU REQUIRE, THANK YOU.

PARENT POWER GROUP

We believe that parents involvement within the organisation is so important and understand that at times this can be difficult with your parental and caring roles. We are, therefore realistic and flexible with everything we do. We are looking to form a " Parent Power" group and would love for parents to come forward who would like to be a part of it. We would like for parents to get together themselves and put forward ideas to the charity that they are passionate about with the view to make changes. Meetings can be arranged at the new Zebras Hub or via Zoom.

There really is very little commitment as you will control when the meetings will take place. If you would like to be a part of the committee then please do sign up below, and a date for the first initial meeting will be emailed to you.
